Measuring regional innovation

As I noted in an earlier post, the Department of Commerce has issued an important report on developing new metrics for innovation. The Advisory Committee for Measuring Innovation in the 21st Century Economy issued its report to the Department of Commerce on January 18. At the same time, a Wired region in California has been looking at the same issue of measuring innovation on the regional level. This collaboration led by University of California, Riverside and the California Space Authority has been looking at new ways to measure regional innovation. Read more.
