For most of today, I have been at the Department of Labor discussing how to integrate WIRED Nation with Workforce 3 One, DOL's major digital repository of valuable workforce content -- everything from webinars to curricula. I've also been learning what's coming down the pike with Workforce Innovations in July in New Orleans.
Workforce 3 One
In the coming months, we will be focusing WIRED Nation on all things WIRED. We will highlight what's new on Workforce 3 One, and encourage you to use the many tools available through that site. Workforce 3 One includes materials generated under DOL contracts. Rather than keep them as hard copies, DOL has been using the web to spread these materials more widely.
In addition, Workforce 3 One includes webinars that DOL has conducted on various issues involving the public workforce system.
Workforce 3 One is a remarkable resource, and we will be exploring how you can use it to accelerate your regional workforce transformation.
Workforce Innovations
At the same time, Workforce Innovations in New Orleans will include a major commitment to collaborative learning on the web. We will be exploring new tools that Web 2.0 provides to make collaborations easier and faster. By learning these tools (if you can read and write, you can use them), you will be taking a major step to speeding your own learning. Web 2.0 tools makes learning, sharing and collaborating both fast and fun.
If you have not registered for Workforce Innovations, you can register on the Workforce Innovations web site here.
